The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by the famous adventure novel by Jules Verne. The Doué Classique Fountain Pen in degrade anthracite lacquer with a metal barrel, draws on the second leg of the journey from Bombay to Yokohama. The main characters travel in this part of the adventure on a majestic elephant, which is featured in a cartouche on the cap. The cap made of gold coated metal features an engraved pattern with that symbolizes good luck. The clip features a red lacquered diamond card suit which represents gambling and playing cards. The cone is etched with a pattern inspired by Princess Aouda’s jewelry and the card suits. The cap top is embossed with the length of the journey, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total. The writing instrument is finished with a hand-crafted Au750 gold nib garnished with the hot air balloon with 20/10 and 14/11: Mr Fogg leaves Bombay at 20:00 on 20 October and leaves Yokohama at 18:00 on 14 November.
